Content & Marketing Agents

The useful version of this is not “an agent that writes our marketing”. It is an agent that removes the production overhead around content a person is still directing: the first draft from an outline someone approved, the twelve channel variants of one announcement, the product descriptions for four hundred items that all follow the same pattern, the scheduling and publishing across channels that each want a slightly different format. That work is repetitive and high-volume, which is the test everything else on this site is held to. The judgement about what to say stays with your team.

Marketing copy and campaign assets drafted by an AI content agent

What it takes over

  • First drafts from a briefan outline or angle a person decided on, turned into a draft in your voice, written against your existing published work rather than a generic house style.
  • Repurposing one thing into manyan announcement, a post or a case into the channel variants it needs, each in the right length and register. This is the highest-volume, lowest-judgement part of most content operations.
  • Patterned copy at scaleproduct descriptions, category pages, listing copy — where hundreds of items follow one structure and the work is volume rather than creativity.
  • Scheduling and publishingputting the approved output where it goes, at the time it should go, across the channels you use — and reporting what actually published.

What stays with your team

  • Strategy, positioning and what the company claims about itself are not automated. An agent that decides your message is an agent deciding your business.
  • Published output goes through your approval. Draft-and-review is the default configuration here and, unlike some of the other agents, it is the one we would keep.
  • Factual claims — numbers, capabilities, comparisons — are checked against a source rather than generated. This is the failure mode that costs a brand something.
  • Volume for its own sake is not a goal. Publishing more mediocre pages is a well-documented way to make a site rank less, not more.

What it connects to

  • Your published work and any brand or tone guidelines that exist
  • The CMS or product catalogue the copy lands in
  • Social and email channels, for scheduling and publishing
  • Whatever review or approval step your team already uses

What changes once it’s running

  • Drafts exist to react to, which is faster than starting from nothing
  • One piece of work reaches every channel it should, in the right shape
  • Patterned copy at volume stops being a reason not to launch a category
  • Publishing happens on schedule without a person doing the mechanical part

Questions about content & marketing agents

Will Google penalise us for AI-written content?

Google’s stated position is that it rewards helpful content and acts against content produced primarily to manipulate rankings, regardless of how it was written. In practice that makes the method the wrong thing to worry about and the volume the right one: a reviewed, accurate, genuinely useful page is fine, and a hundred thin pages generated to cover keyword variations is the pattern that gets a site demoted. Which is why draft-and-review is the default here rather than publish-and-hope.

How does it learn our voice?

From what you have already published, plus whatever tone guidance you give people. Voice is the part of this work that responds best to tuning on real examples and worst to instruction in the abstract, so it is treated as an ongoing adjustment against samples rather than something declared once at the start.

Do we still need writers?

For anything that requires a point of view, yes. What changes is the ratio of their time spent producing versus deciding — the draft, the variant and the reformatting are the parts an agent takes. We would rather be straight about that than imply a headcount saving that turns into a quality problem you notice two quarters later.

Can it publish without us checking every piece?

Technically yes, and we would advise against it for anything customer-facing. The cost asymmetry is the reason: a small saving per piece against the occasional confidently wrong claim published under your name. Patterned, factual copy at high volume is the one case where relaxing review is often reasonable, and even there the facts come from your catalogue rather than from the model.
